Shadows of Brimstone: Perilous Expeditions

This epic campaign set allows players to add more structure to their Gates of Valhalla and Valley of the Serpent Kings campaigns with a dynamically changing campaign map and narrative story that evolves over the course of play! The dynamic campaign generation system means that no two campaigns will be the same. You choose what style and length of campaign fits your table. Includes a Rulebook covering all the basics of how to mount an Expedition into the dangerous unknown, as well as 2 full spiral-bound Campaign Books, one for Vikings, and one for Spanish Explorers. Each Campaign Book has a set of Stories and Campaign Objectives. Players will choose one of each to combine and create the setup, unfolding narrative, and goals for your campaign. Each Story and Campaign Objective contains its own unique Major/Minor Danger and Major/Minor Event charts, as well as unique final Campaign Missions that are the culmination of each Story's quest. Players also choose the length of their campaign: Short, Medium, or Epic.

Travel is never boring on an Expedition. Each Campaign Book also has an expansive Travel Hazard chart for both Sea and for Land, unique to the Campaign Map environment - frozen Norse Lands or stormy Jungle coasts. A set of custom Expedition Dice are used for movement around the Campaign Map, across both Land and Sea spaces, on your hunt to reach the dynamically generated Locations that spawn Adventures.

The all-new Missions can be played on their own, or as part of the campaign. This includes missions that take place on the large Wilderness Boards – Norse Lands on one side, Jungle Coast on the other, and the large Expedition Ship Boards - Viking Longboat on one side and Spanish Sailing Ship on the other.

The star of Perilous Expeditions is the Campaign Map that changes and develops over the course of your adventures. Players will place reusable vinyl stickers to indicate Locations to be explored, as well as for enemies and features that dynamically populate the world as the story progresses.

Perilous Expeditions includes two new enemy groups: Deep Stalkers and Leviathan Tentacles, as well as a full set of Expedition Miniatures scaled for the Campaign Board: Viking Longboat, Spanish Sailing Ships, Hellborn Marauder Pirate Ships, Viking and Conquistador Expedition Banners, Gates, Norse Rune Stones, and Spanish Forts.
